This shirt was a bit of a change up in style from the earlier Mere Theory designs, as the band wanted something a bit bolder and more colourful. We came up with a custom typeface and a magenta Jellyfish.

I lived in Chengdu, China for 2 years from July 07 to July 09, and was there when the huge earthquake struck. It was a crazy time, and pretty scary… One positive that came out of it was the opportunity to help raise money for those who the quake struck hard. Sichuan Quake Relief was started by a fantastic member of the community, Peter Goff, and quite a few of us helped out. This was one the items I designed to help raise awareness.

The guys in the band wanted a design based on the line ‘Until the clouds below are far above’ and they liked the idea of a plane and a sunset. This was the final design chosen out of a few presented.

The stiletto design was something that took a while to create, but turned out really well in the end. The illustration of the heel smashing the type really set off the design.

When Move To Strike came to us to design a range of shirts for them, they had a good idea of what they were after. This design was based on a belt buckle one of the band members had been given by a family member. We took their idea, made some additions and ran with it.

This design was produced for Mere Theory’s show at the 2007 Big Day Out in Adelaide. The animal came from a photo I took at the zoo of some sort of small bear.
